1. Buy approximately 5 yards of textile in dark, red, or a colour in your party palette.
2. Double thread a needle to a 90-inch distance and knot the end.
3. Baste or use a running sew along both long edges of the fabric.
4. Have the end of the thread that is not tangled and softly slip the fabric along the thread towards the hooked end. This will produce creases or ruches in the textile that will resemble the lining interior a casket.
5. When your satin is the preferable length, knot the thread.
6. Place the ruched satin on top of a dark table covering so it passes down the front of your menu table.
