Beyonce to Star at Mtv Music Video Awards

Beyoncé has been unveiled as the final act at the MTV Europe Music video Awards in Berlin tonight.

The singer will perform her recent single ‘Sweet Dreams’ at the event, which takes place at the O2 World arena in the German capital.

The awards show will be rounded off with the global premiere of the video to Beyoncé’s next single ‘Video Phone’, which also features Lady GaGa.

Further acts confirmed to perform include Foo Fighters, Green Day, Jay-Z, Leona Lewis, Shakira, Tokio Hotel and U2, whose set will be broadcast from the Brandenburg Gate to mark the 20th anniversary since the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Beyoncé is up for four awards at the ceremony, including Best Female, Best Live Act, Best Song for ‘Halo’ and Best Video for ‘Single Ladies’.

Joining U2 and Leona Lewis, Lil Kim and David Hasslehoff have been announced as two of the final presenters for Thursday’s MTV Europe Music Awards.

Both recent reality television talents (Lil Kim; Dancing With The Stars/ David Hasslehoff ‘America’s Got Talent’) will present awards with fellow celebs the Jonas Brothers, Backstreet Boys, Wladimir Klitschko, Jesse Metcalfe, Juliette Lewis, Jean Reno, Miranda Cosgrove, Asia Argento, Bar Refaeli, Brody Jenner and Batista.

As reported Wednesday, “I Am… Sasha Fierce” chart-topper and recent Soul Train Award winner Beyonce will perform during tonight’s broadcast in Berlin.

Beyonce’s performance at the EMAs will be rounded out by the global music video premiere of her latest single, Video Phone, featuring fellow EMA nominee Lady Gaga, which airs on MTV TV and online platforms around the world immediately following the Awards from 23.30 CET.
