Leona Lewis Too Busy to Promote Avatar Song
Leona Lewis won’t be releasing a song that features in the movie ‘Avatar’.
The film includes the singer’s ‘I See You’, but Leona Lewis is so busy promoting her second album ‘Echo’, that she doesn’t have time to release the track as a single.
James Cameron – who directed the movie – is said to be angry at the decision, as it would bring attention to the flick.
An insider said: “Leona was delighted to be part of ‘Avatar’ but the song was never supposed to be released. But her cover of ‘Run’ wasn’t meant to be released either – and look how well that did.”
‘I See You’ was penned by James Horner and Simon Franglen, who also write Celine Dion’s huge hit single ‘My Heart Will Go On’ – as heard in Cameron’s 1997 film ‘Titanic’.
Hollywood moviemaker James Cameron was so pleased with British singer LEONA LEWIS’ song for his film Avatar, he phoned to thank her in person.
Lewis’ track I See You features in the upcoming sci-fi movie, starring Sigourney Weaver and Sam Worthington, and the Titanic director was so impressed with the recording he contacted the Bleeding Love hitmaker straight away.
She says, “I only saw a half-hour clip of the film. It’s not finished yet, and it’s insane, awesome. I heard the song – great lyrics, very, very epic. So I went in and I did it. And then they played it to James and he phoned me up and said, ‘Oh, my God. I love you!’ He’s so cool. I had this perception that he was going to be totally untouchable and unreachable. But he’s just like your nice uncle. He’s lovely.”
